Recently, the Guizhou Medicine Centralized Procurement Platform announced the “Notice on the Review Results of the First Round of Supplementary Enterprises (Products) Information for the Online Sunshine Procurement of the First Batch of Three Categories of High-Value Medical Consumables in Guizhou Province in 2018”. The notice pointed out that according to the requirements of the “Guizhou Province High-Value Medical Consumables Sunshine Procurement Implementation Plan” (referred to as the “Implementation Plan”), the review work for the first round of supplementary enterprises (products) information for the online sunshine procurement of the first batch of three categories of high-value medical consumables in 2018 has been completed, and now the review results are being announced. The announcement period and the complaint period will be from 9:00 am on July 3, 2018, to 5:00 pm on July 11, 2018.

According to Yilian Statistics, a total of 8,280 products from 233 declared enterprises were announced this time, with the following proportions for the three major categories:

The products that passed the review this time accounted for 98.06% of the total, while those that did not pass accounted for 1.94%. The main reasons for the unsuccessful reviews were threefold: component review failure, registration certificate review failure, and Code review failure. The notice pointed out that if companies have objections to the review results, they can submit complaints through the “Complaint Management” section of the Guizhou High-Value Medical Consumables Centralized Procurement System within the public announcement period. Failure to submit complaints within the deadline will be regarded as the bidder’s agreement with the review results. For specific situations, refer to the table below:

The “Implementation Plan” proposes “to encourage the priority procurement of domestically produced high-value medical consumables.” According to Yilian statistics, among the products added this time, 72.78% are domestic and 27.22% are imported. The data fully demonstrates Guizhou’s determination to support domestic products. The specific situation is as follows:

The “Implementation Plan” requires that, in cases where there are no sales prices nationwide, the medical institutions of Guizhou Province shall list the products online after negotiating the prices based on similar products. Below is the statistics of whether the products added this time have sales prices:

At the same time, the “Implementation Plan” requires that new product applications or products not listed on the network be submitted in June and December each year. If a product exits the market or has quality issues, its listing qualification will be revoked, meaning the directory is adjusted every six months, and the quality requirements are relatively strict. This is the first round, and all enterprises should properly maintain their products to ensure quality and avoid being eliminated. For companies that did not make it into this round, don’t worry; timely follow relevant information and make prior preparations. The editor believes that the second round will begin soon.
